How to Make the Pefect Pot of Tea

1.  Put the kettle on.
2.  Select a pot (or mug) and pre-warm with hot tap water.
3.  Select a good quality loose tea.  Measure the tea into an infuser, allowing one teaspoon* of tea per cup (6 to 8 oz.
     of water) , plus one for the pot (a 4-cup pot would require 5 teaspoons of tea.)
4.  Pour off your tap water and pour in your boiling** water.  Insert your tea-filled infuser.
5.  Let your tea steep for 3 to 5** minutes.
6.  Remove infuser and enjoy!

*   Measuring teaspoon, not table service teaspoon
** For green or white tea, water should be slightly less than boiling and steeping time 1 to 3 minutes


How to Decaffeinate Tea

1.  Put the kettle on.
2.  Select a pot (or mug) and pre-warm with hot tap water.
3.  Select a good quality loose tea.  Measure the tea into an infuser, allowing one teaspoon* of tea per cup (6 to 8 oz.
     of water) , plus one for the pot (a 4-cup pot would require 5 teaspoons of tea.)
4.  Pour off your tap water and pour in your boiling** water.  Insert your tea-filled infuser.
5.  Let your tea steep for 30 seconds (then pour off water (retaining tea leaves).  85% of the caffeine will be removed!
6.  Pour in fresh boiling water, replace tea leaves, and steep for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.  Remove infuser and enjoy!
